One woman’s personal experience with having a chemical peel.
By Deb Kelley, RN, CNOR, RNFA, Clinical Leader, Cosmetic Surgery Center, UMass Memorial Medical Center
Approximately 14 days after my peel, I couldn’t stop looking at my face and touching my skin. Although I had administered numerous chemical peels, it was not until I had one myself that I completely understood its amazing capabilities.
At the Cosmetic Surgery Center at UMass Memorial Medical Center, we offer a variety of skin rejuvenating procedures. Our chemical peels are tailored to the individual skincare needs of each patient. The most aggressive peels offer the most dramatic results, but they are not for everyone.
Get started
The initial skincare consultation allows me to get to know you, discuss your goals and initiate a skincare program that will maximize the results of your peel.
Choose your peel
The most popular peel at the Cosmetic Surgery Center at UMass Memorial is often referred to as a “lunchtime peel” because you can actually go right back to work the same afternoon. Most everyone is a candidate for our lightest peel, the cool peel.
Our medium-strength Bahama peel is great for sun damage, uneven skin tone, and fine lines and wrinkles.
The healing process can be difficult for some patients but the results are incredible. Once you see the results, you are sure to be pleased. It has been two years since I had my chemical peel and my skin still looks and feels great.
