Start with the Ambiance

Before we get into how to give a facial, make sure that you have created the perfect ambiance. No matter how small your house or apartment is, try to designate a corner of a room that is just for the facial. Make sure that you have a place where they can comfortably lay down. As a suggestion, make sure that everything is clean, dim the lights, and turn on candles.

Get the Products

For your at-home facial, you are going to need a number of facial cleansing and exfoliating products including:

  • Warm water and a washcloth
  • Facial Cleanser
  • Facial Scrub
  • Facial Mask
  • Facial Toner
  • Cotton Pads
  • Face Cream
  • Eye Cream

Have your loved one lay with their head in your lap. To start off, you are going to want to cleanse their skin by using either a makeup remover for those that wear makeup or just a cleanser and warm water. Once their face is properly cleaned, use a face scrub and focus on their T-zone to try to get of blemishes like blackheads. Rinse off the face scrub and apply a mask, making sure to avoid the eyes and mouth. As the mask is soaking in, you can massage their hands or feet with a lotion. After the mask has set for about 5-10 minutes, rinse it off with warm water and a washcloth. Once rinsed off, take the toner and rub it on their face by using a cotton pad. As the finishing touch, apply face and eye cream.
